How To Manage Your Day As A Business Owner

Updated: Apr 20, 2021

Productivity often connects to how organized our work environment is. When our day is organized, there is no reason for us to be short of productivity. Through various tools like organizer apps, scheduling software, or virtual assistants, our days can be even more organized.

Hence, here are some ways for us to be more organized:

Prepare

They say that a good evening is the start of a great day. Set aside a few minutes every night to make sure that everything is in order and think about what you will need to do in the coming day. In this way, you can make plans beforehand about where and when you should get the things you need. When you then wake up in the morning, refresh what needs to be done for the day and how you can accomplish it. Planning things makes us more likely to achieve them as we have already prepared various ways to do them beforehand. Not to mention that there will be minimal to no unexpected obstacles for the day.

Use the help of technology

Nowadays you don’t exactly have to jot down every schedule that you have on your calendar just keep track of the time. You can use project management tools such as Monday.com, Slack, Trello, Asana, and many more to help keep you and your team organized. These tools allow you to set deadlines, monitor progress, and arrange meetings easily with everyone. Creating a chat group through messaging apps such as WhatsApp can also help organize and communicate with your team much easier. By using these technologies, you will immediately feel more productive along with your team as keeping yourself on top of things has become much easier.

Minimize distractions

Turn off the notification sound for every unnecessary message that you may receive. You may also put your phone on vibrate mode to avoid loud distracting noises or you may also opt to put your phone away instead especially if you are not expecting an important message or calls. Remember that your phone is a great tool for the organization as we have mentioned before, but it can also be a great source of distractions. Focus on your task at hand and do not let the notification pings of your phone distract you from what you are doing.

Find a meeting organizer or Virtual Assistant

Having someone else organize all the grunt work for you such as sending invitations, collecting responses, and preparing the rooms, food or venue will be a huge thing off your plate. Hence, don’t hesitate to ask for extra help and virtual assistants might just be the people that you are looking for.

Save extra time by having somebody else handle all the time-consuming tasks like bookkeeping, reservations, and others as you can make sure the virtual assistants can handle the jobs efficiently. When you can focus on more important things such as talking to important clients, finding new leads, and setting up a new pitch, that is when you can be even more productive aside from being organized.

In addition, hiring virtual assistants gets you exactly what you pay for making them more cost-effective and convenient than hiring and training a new employee. Hence, if you want to get more organized and be even more productive, then seek a helping hand through virtual assistants as they can also make use of the latest technology to help you even further.
